This work presents an implementation of augmented reality (AR) for the simulation of the planning phase, control system, and machining parameters of a fully automated work cell. The system consists of 3 modules; the layout planning module determines the best possible arrangement of machines, the robotic arm module simulates the pick-and-place operation, and the computer numerical control (CNC) module performs the virtual machining task.
